Oildale Jacket
With timeless vintage styling, the Oildale Jacket will only get better with age. The chassis of the jacket is based around a Waxed Heritage™ coated canvas that is not only a harbinger of nostalgia, but will also protect the jacket from adverse weather conditions. Waxed cotton canvas originated in the Scottish sailing industry because of its ability to endure wet and windy weather. In the early days of motorcycling, companies like J. Barbour & Sons and Belstaff realized its potential and produced motorcycle jackets and gear with waxed canvas. Now, Icon is incorporating it back into the lineup of materials used to make superior motorcycle jackets. The vintage finish will age and show character like no other material, creating a patina that you can be proud to show off.
The Icon Oildale Jacket is more than just a vintage styled fashion piece, it is built to perform just as well as the best riding jackets. The jacket incorporates ballistic nylon panels to give the rider uninhibited mobility during aggressive riding. This is the same material that is used in high-end racewear. The cut of the Oildale is very sporty and will be comfortable in almost any riding position. To keep you protected, a full D3O® impact protector package (elbow, shoulder, back) is included with the Oildale, as is the removable insulated SatinCore™ vest liner. The custom cast-metal badging finishes off the look of the jacket, which is available in either brown or black.
With an approachable price point, the Oildale is one the best values that has been available to riders in quite some time. It features the same cut as the now famous Icon Chapter jackets, but is not out of reach for many riders like the Chapter.
Vigilante Jacket
For the best of both the Oildale and the Chapter, the Icon Vigilante Jacket is a good compromise. The Vigilante shares the same cut as the other two jacket and has elements from both that give it its own unique character. This is a jacket for those who crave a distinct 50’s race look. The chassis of the Vigilante is built from Herringbone nylon, which is extremely abrasion resistant and has a tough look to it. The drum-dyed cowhide sleeves combined with the snap back collar ensure that this is one bad ass motorcycle jacket with ultimate fit, feel and look. This jacket features all of the protection that the Oildale does, ensuring that you will be fully protected if you go down. It is available in either black, dark earth or the patched up version, the Dropout.
If you are really into the vintage race scene, the Vigilante Dropout will speak to you like no other motorcycle jacket. The Chenille embroidered patches are the same style that are used on letterman jackets. They emblazon the chest of the Dropout making it stand out from all others. Icon 1000 patches are on the leather sleeves with the sayings “Always Cheat” and “Always Win” and adorn one each side. This is the jacket for those who are ready to rule the road.
Hella 1000
Icon has made sure that the Ladies aren’t left out with the new 1000 collection. The Hella 1000 womens jacket combines the perfect fit that the previous Hella models are famous for with the Waxed Heritage™ canvas chassis that is found on the mens Oildale jacket. There is no other jacket that is a truer womens riding jacket. It fits the shape of a woman’s body so it will lay flat. No more annoying bulging when you get in the riding position. The previous Hella jackets feature more modern and loud styling, while the 1000 version merges the amazing fit with the classic styling of the 1000 collection. The jacket is trimmed with drum-dyed leather that is so supple and has ballistic nylon stretch panels for movement. The asymmetrical zipper sets this jacket apart by giving it that extra little flash. The Hella 1000 also features all of the same armor as the Oildale for max protection. It is available in brown or black.
