It’s only right that the new boots are so stunning, seeing as how the original Oscar collection was sparked by moto boots. The new Monty boots may not be a true MX style boot, but they sure carry the same craftsmanship that made the originals so great.
The attention to detail is evident the most in the hand-finished-upper made from a supple full grain leather and is available in both black and brown. The hand detailing of the leather and stitching really gives the Monty boots a unique vintage feel. The toe features a moccasin style seam that is scored to add strength. The patterning of the toe combined with padding make shifting with these boots a breeze.
Once you slide it on, you realize that this boot is closer to being from the future than from the past. The level of protection and comfort in the Monty is a direct result of the decades that A’Stars has spent at the top of the moto boot game. It is CE certified (CE 89/686/EEC-CAT 2) and has the ability to keep your feet and ankles safe in an accident.
Ankles are supported by the new A’Stars anatomical backed dual-density TPU ankle disk protection. The toe box and heel counter are reinforced to provide a structured support and impact resistance. Once on, the boots are laced up through vintage style metal eyelets to keep them tight and secure at all times.
Unlike other fashionable pieces, comfort is not forgotten. Inside the boot you will find a removable microfiber footbed that is anatomically shaped to contour your foot. There is a highly breathable mesh liner to keep your feet dry and cool. The tongue is gusseted to help prevent wind, water and dirt from entering the boot. The heel is subtle, yet substantial enough to get good traction on the pegs.
All in all, the Monty boot is timeless, comfortable and will do the job when you need it to.
